Craft brewing in a city with a rich brewing history
Flessa Bräu – A tradition in the heart of Berlin
Flessa Bräu is a small brewery in the center of Berlin, the city that had the highest density of breweries in the world in the 1920s. Unfortunately, not much of this brewing diversity remains today.
Flessa Bräu, along with a few other young companies, is reviving the old tradition of craft beer production in small breweries.
We use only select raw materials to produce our beers, such as malt and organic malt from the Weyermann malt house, hops and organic hops from various growing regions in Germany, and pure yeast, which gives our beer its special flavor.
For ecological reasons, sales are limited to the regional market.

A unique brewing process for the best quality
Beer with passion and without compromise
Our beers are crafted by our brewer Christoph in what might just be the smallest brewhouse in Berlin, with great care and a whole lot of passion.
At our brewing workshops and in our tailored masterclasses, you can watch him at work and even roll up your sleeves to brew alongside him.
Unlike most large-scale breweries, we deliberately avoid filtration, heat treatment and yield-boosting methods so that the beer keeps as many of its natural and valuable ingredients as possible.
For fermentation, we stick to the lower temperature range. This takes more time, but it also means fewer unwanted by-products, the kind that can cause trouble the next morning.
When it comes to maturation, our motto is clear: quality before quantity. That is why we give our beers the time they need to develop their full character so that every sip of Flessa Bräu is a true pleasure.
